I've been told that the latest TLR Suzukis used wheels that would swap onto an 00-03 GSXR 750.  I have a chance to get a set cheap, but want to be sure they'll fit.  Does anybody know about this?
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

hey chris,
i've got an 03 750 rear wheel.

do you know anybody with a 6 inch rear for my 1000?? :(

i mistakenly bought a set on ebay.
i thought the ad said 03 1000 wheels.

i cannot give you the front though.

K3  I thought the TL rear wheel is 6 inches.  The 750 is 5.5.  I cant remember if this is right,  Kim will know.

Correct, the TL-R wheel is a 6 incher and the '00-'03 750s have a 5.5.  I know that Lonnie has run a 6 inch rim on his 750, but I think he said something about it making the chain 1/8" offset, so a spacer needed to be made.  I would have to ask him to make sure.  :-/

Bill is right the gsxr1000 6 inch rim on a 750/600
offsets the chain 1/8 of an inch to the out side.
mods can be done to spocket carrier and rim
for it to work but is not worth it in my oppinion.
e-mail me if you want more info.

also the 9? tlr rims are the same as the 96-99 srads

Then it sounds like the TLR rear is the same as the GSXR 1000?  And the TLR front is the same as all the new GSXRs?  In that case, I could get this TLR set, swap rears with Anthony, and we'd all be good?

The word from my most trusted parts-interchange buddy is that the TL wheels are also the SRAD and Hayabusa wheels.  The GSXR 600, 750 and 1000 all use the same front, but the 1000 has a wider rear.  Since they were TL wheels, I didn't get them.  Sorry Anthony, but the deal wouldn't have helped either of us.

no problem chris,
thanks for trying.

still gotta find a wheel for r.a though.

Better late than never, I suppose! :-[

TLR wheels never changed - they were the same from '98 to the bitter end.  The "current" generation 1K Gixxer wheels ARE different... but wheels from '01-'02 are the same as Tiller and 'Busa rims.  The front from a late-model 750 is the same but the rear does require a spacer (not a big deal - I've got a 5.5" rim and spacer that I use for my rain tire - and John can swap that puppy in a matter of minutes)

Anthony, what year  Gixxer wheel are you looking for?
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

i'm looking for an 03/04 gsxr 1000 wheel.

i don't know if the 01/02 rims are the same or not.

if anyone can even let me borrow a wheel for this weekend it would be brilliant.
