It sounds dumb but you should get a box of hair nets if you do that kind of work often.

I have a nasty habit of getting my face to close to the wheel of my hand grinder.  Not so close as to cut my self but when I change angle I occassionally get a face full of sparks...  go safety glasses!  Usually leaves a burnt-hair smell for a while still.

***Semi-related Story***
When I was in tech school a fellow student got solvent in his eye as he wasn't wearing goggles.  He asked me what he should do, I suggested he put his face under the sink and wash his eye out.  He refused as he didn't want to mess up his hair!  I shook my head half an hour later when the ambulance took him out in a stretcher...  He got to wear an eye patch for a few days...

Ow!  OWWW!!! OWWIE!!!!!!!! :o

Glad you're okay, Dawn.  Lara Croft ain't got squat on you!
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Jeff

Yeah, my basset hound learned a similar lesson last night too.

Don't scratch your ears with long nails.  The dew claw got caught in his lower eyelid.  He freaked out and my walls shook as he wailed trying to get it out.  Kudos to my boy Queue who jumped into action freeing ole Chiefer.

(now only if I[/u] could have that Lara Croft body!)

Which reminds me of life lesson #3:

Never squat with your spurs on. :o

Glad you're alright, D.

QuoteAnd I thought getting my hair wound around the creeper wheel under the car was bad.

Glad you're alright.

I did that ALOT a few years ago. Grew my hair out and into a pony tail just to annoy my mom.:D After a few HUNDRED times getting caught in the wheels, I just cut it off.
