On a 2004 GSXR600, to remove the axle, you have to remove the alan head nut that holds the axle in.  Does anyone know what size it is?  There isn't a tool in the tool kit that came with the bike >:( WTF ???  It's like a 1" alan head nut.  It's on the riders right side of the axle. What size is it?

Probably 19mm, but I'm guessing. In a pinch you might be able to use the OD of the spark plug socket that came with the bike. A temp fix is to get a bolt and two 19mm nuts. Tighten the two nuts together on one end and use the head to loosen the axle. Some hardware stores and tool supply places have the tool you need. I cut a section off of a large Allen wrench and just use a socket.

This is what Gixxer.com has for sale on this situation.  What size is it?  I'm not paying $40.00 for a friggin cheap japanese alan head that is gonna break when I need it in a pinch.  I'd rather call snap on and get a good one.

Find a coupling nut that size at your local hardware store . . . works great . . . probably about $4.00.

I'll measure mine when I get home. But mine is a 2002.  I picked up the tool from whitebuffaloracing.com (sp)

Just talked to the Snap on guy.  $133.00 for that friggin thing, and NOBODY around me at any tool stores, and I went to all of them, has it.  >:(  I'm not paying $133.00 for a friggin socket.  No way.  Snap on guy has it in stock, and I could have it tonight, but no friggin way.  >:(

I got a GP axle tool from www.whitebuffaloracing.com 866.249.3354  the end that goes into the front axel fits into a 24mm socket.  the other end fits into a 22mm socket.  Now here's the kicker it was $19 plus 3.85 shipping for a total 22.95. they are in lancaster CA. I got it in 3 days. they can over night too.
what the heck give them a call.
I hope that helps.

just get a suzuki one from your dealer.
they are only about $30

shouldn't take long to get.
don't forget to get a manual for your bike.
they are priceless.

Did you have to pay extra to get a Suzuki manual written in Irish?

My Matco guy got me a 3/4 drive 24mm Hex socket for $45 bucks. Its from some off brand, not Matco, but it works great. It maybe a proto or such, Ill look tomorrow if you like....
