Hey all,

Are there "special" prices for the RA weekend?  I'm assuming things are different from the standard 70/50/35 structure....

Want to fax over my registration, want to have the totals right.

Jim:

They are different (listed in the Daytona flyer), but I won't know what they are until I get home tonight.

Called CCS, got an answer.  Here it is, for anyone else who may be interested:

First class is $75.  Each class after that is $55.  No differences whether it's a money class or not.

Also - for those who may be interested - if you're pre-registering and want to use a CCS certificate, you need to fax in a photocopy of the cert along with your pre-reg - and then bring the cert to the races and hand it in at registration.

Yeah this has me all confused too...do you have to pay for both days for say mwss or does one fee cover both days??  Also when do we get some real practice?  1 or 2 sessions a day is not that much especially when you have never been to the track.  Sorry, this is only my second weekend so maybe this is the norm, but it seems way different than heartland...

It's a twin sprints weekend, so you pay for each race, not each class. Lets say you run LWSS and LWSB on Saturday and again on Sunday, you pay for 4 races, not 2 classes. Does this make sense?

Do or do not, there is no "try".

I guess I could call to find out, but can you include the wristbands, and is it more expensive to register at the track like years past?

Entry Fees are more expensive at the track.  I don't know about the wristbands.

Nick,

Hang in there.  Road America is NOT the 'typical' track.  It's a twin sprints weekend combined with FUSA.  Entry fees and gate fees are higher, etc.

The track is incredibly expensive to rent, so CCS does end up bumping the price and getting in as MUCH racing as possible to recoup the costs.  However, once you're railing through the carousel you will forget all of this and it will be worth it.

For me, one good run through the carousel is better than one good RACE at BHF...

Man, I don't know that I will even bother then. Its at least a 10 hour drive and I will get very little track time.  It would be cool if we got one full practice day, but I dont' really feel like getting smoked haha ;D  We'll see though cause my bud's are good at talking me into this stuff lol!

Yeah but I think its like $200 or something, plus I have to come another day earlier.  I guess I am just surprised they dont' build more practice into the weekend but maybe thats normal.  Like I said I am new to racing so I am probably bitching for no reason lol ;D
