Question about rookies.....When I took my school at Ed Bargy they gave us a green t-shirt and told us we had to wear them in our first race.  He mainly does WERA and couldn't confirm if this is the same for CCS.

I just need to know if I have to bring my purity lime green t-shirt?

Its not a law, but recommended for someone their first race weekend to wear a shirt over their leathers, just so other peeps on the track will give them a lil extra space...as Bargy puts it, they'll give ya 2" instead of 1"  But u dont need to wear that shirt, just any T that will go over your leathers, we'll know what it means

 I think you need to see if the race school you went to is accepted by CCS.  Yes you do need it.  With CCS you have to have for two consecutive race weekends.  If you crash I was told you had to start all over ( back to day one of the shirt).

I had a pertttttyyyyyyyyyyyy aqua shirt last year.

No shirt for me this year  ;D ;D ;D ;D

2"  yeah right....  I was lucky if I got .5 from some people ..but the good part was soem of the guys were so smooth you will not have to worry,, they will be there then gone..

Ed Bargy is accepted by CCS.  Already got my CCS lic.  Ready for Jennings...for the most part!  Could use another week to prep!

I didnt realise the rule was set in stone, i never did it
I would recommend it..not everyone can be as fast as me their first race....HAHAHA J/K

If you didn't race with WERA you should wear a T-shirt outside your leathers your first weekend.  People are vicious on the track and the "extra" space they'll give you is a plus to keep your nerves down.

On the saturday morning after I took the class I got hit in practice and took a long slide.  I got to ride around all weekend in a beat-to-hell t-shirt.  Needless to say it got a lot of strange looks...

It was the last weekend at Vir last year your teammate was giveing me points on the track since it was my first time at vir. were at the mich truck when u rolled up. me tall blk guy. #401 the only shirted rider that weekend. I made the crash page of the the vhs site   :o

I might make it , but If I do I'll be working the pit for my two teammantes.  The Tax man will be taking smoe of my race budet so I will miss 3 races I think.
