I don't think the track is letting people camp on the 7th? I saw an email by Roger that stated that there was no camping.

Team Charm Did you read the same thing?

Oh well, there goes the plan of riding my bicycle around the track in the middle of the night making motorcycle noises  ;D

If you find out for sure either way please let me know.  Thanks for the tip.

Super Dave

Nuts, no MC sounds for me either...LOL!

I'm fully mobile, so no problem.   8)

MOTORCYCLE TUNE & TEST DAYS AT SUMMIT POINT RACEWAY

THURSDAY, April 8 Friday, JUNE 11 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2004

Dear Racer,
This letter is in response to your interest in the Motorcycle Tune & Test Days at Summit Point Raceway. Many racers just like you have requested practice days separate from the regular race weekend. These Tune & Test Days will allow you plenty of time to sort out your motorcycle and learn the fast way around the legendary Summit Point Raceway.
Only 15 racers at a time will be allowed out on the course at any one time. A maximum number
of 60 racers will be allowed per day. Riding sessions will be for 15 minutes each. The gates open at
8:00 a.m. and practice runs from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break. All bikes must be race ready and wired. Bikes should be clean, with good fresh tires. All machines will be teched before going on course.
Track time is expensive and precious. A well-prepared machine will make the whole day and
not cause anybody any grief — such as down time due to an oil leak or spill or a crash or an ambulance run. There will be one ambulance on site manned with a West Virginia paramedic or EMT and driver. If the ambulance has to leave the premises, practice will be shut down until the ambulance returns. PLEASE, DO NOT CRASH. We want everybody to get their money's worth during this day. There are no trophies to be gained. No points to add up. We do not want to see you or anybody get hurt. Please keep this in mind the whole time you are at the race track: I WILL NOT CRASH!
All participants both on and off the track will sign an insurance waiver prior to any vehicles
entering the race circuit. Race gasoline will be sold at the track. Due to the daily use of the facility, overnight camping is not allowed the night before or after the Tune & Test Days. Pay telephones
are available behind the paddock restroom building. Electricity boxes are available for $10 per day plus a $10 key deposit. Bring food and drinks to keep you going during the day. The Tune & Test Days will happen SHINE or RAIN — THINK POSITIVE! There will be NO REFUNDS. You will have already paid so plan on coming out no matter what. This will be a good day for you.

Super Dave

I'll have to remember to get your phone number before I leave...should be out early enough that maybe we can touch on some things that Wednesday night.

DO NOT CRASH....I like that part.  That was part of the Daytona goal...along with sleeping at Home Depot... ;D

Yeah, I don't believe there is any camping the night before.  I'll get up at stupid o'clock and see you bright and early :)
