I need some information please.
I may get asked to relocate to Indy.  What are the race tracks near there, what region would/could I race in?  who all lives and races out there?  Sorry for so many questions but I don't know if I want to move.  Its too cold out there for me. Any way I'm thing about it.

You'd be StevieBee's neighbor!!! 8)

"Local" regions would include Midwest, Great Lakes, Great Plains and the new Northern region.

While CCS doesn't race there, you'd have Putnam Park nearly in your backyard... Steve could give you better ideas on driving times.  Gingerman would prolly be the closest track to you, followed by Grattan, Gateway, Blackhawk...

CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Steviebee

Hey Dude  I live in Indy.

I moved here 3 years ago and only now a few racers.  Most guys were running WERA cause they went to Putnam Park Road Course  (40 mins away).

I hear rumor that since WERA left putnam, ccs/fasttrax is going to try there next year.

Where are you coming from ?  It gets cold here in the winter but we dont have snow much.

Lets see, for tracks and time for me to get to them.
Heartland Park, 8.5 hours
Road America    5.5 hours
Nelson Ledges   5.5 hours
Blackhawk farms 4.5
GRattan         5
Mid America     9.5
Gingerman       4
Barber          8

For track days,  Putnam is 40 mins,   and there is a new one in Chicago  that 3.5 hours

Mid Ohio proabley 4-5 hours.

Stevie

I live in MD and work in DC. If I relocate I would I think need to live in Bloomington or something that was in a 30-45 min drive to Crane.

Steviebee

half way inbetween bloomington and Indy,  you could get a nice farm house with lots of land.
Then you could build a little track in your back yard, so i could come over and ride your dirt bikes !!

Farm land ????? Farm house ooh heck no :o :o :o  but the thought of cheep land with a fat house and dirt track does sound nice.  Too bad I have never riden a dirt bike. guess I would have to get one.

lbk

Bloomington IN, has a nice little 150 mile loop for street riding too. We like to travel down that way and go riding just for the roads.

If that dirt track gets put it, then you two are going to have a "relative" you didn't know about from Chicago visiting a lot. LOL

Our long-lost, third-cousin-thrice-removed, SMOKE!!! :D
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Steviebee

yea i used to ride some of that loop when i rode on the street.

6 hours, we'd just ride thru the back roads. !!  You'd end up passing a tone of other bikers out !, miata guys and some sports car guys sometimes too.

Stop in Historic Story for a bit, little bit of shopping in nashville !
