Bike dies after 7000 rpm

Hello all-- I have just converted my 2003 CBR600RR over for the track and took it out for a test ride in front of my house.  Problem is, when I go over 7000 RPM the bike dies.  I let it sit for about 20 secs and I can start it again and slug around at low speeds.  It seems to just cut out either with quick throttle motion or high revs.  I thought it might be water in the tank from condensation, but wouldn't it run rough all the time?  The bike goes through the entire rev range when in neutral without a problem.  I put some newer gas in and ran it for a while and it "seems" to be happening less frequently, and it doesn't always happen at 7K anymore... but I could be over-analyzing the symptoms.  I'm just looking for some ideas before I break down and bring it in for warranty before my first race.  Ideas?

if it is water you can get dry gas or something like it.

best bet is to pull the fuel line and pump the gas out using the fuel pump, then fill with fresh stuff.

Sounds like you're starving it of fuel...check for a pinched line of blocked fuel filter.  It's an idea... ???

At risk of sounding extremely dense--- where is the fuel filter on the 600RR.  I do not have a shop manual, so short of following the gas lines I need some help...

I would first start by taking off the breather line coming off of the gas tank, It got pinched on my f4i and it would stall. Second do you have a Power Commander or the same? They are not too reliable, mine failed on my f4i and gave me grief.

I have removed both smaller hoses coming off the bottom of the tank (breather and overflow?).  The  bike is totally stock as far as the FI goes.

THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED!!! ;D  It ended up being the bank angle sensor (or tip sensor).  When converting the bike for the track I took the main wiring harness and wrapped it in duct  tape and tie wrapped it out of the way.  Well, the B.A. sensor is located along the main wiring harness and when I got to certain revs and/or speed it would vibrate and trip off, thus killing the bike.  I have since removed the sensor and jumped the signal out.  I did this in lieu of mounting it somehow to where it would not trip because I was told that in the event of a highside-to-be or a tankslapper it would activate and kill the bike.  I did this with some sort of confidence being that every crash I've had so far has stopped the bikes motor soon enough to where no damage was caused.
Boy, you get out of racing for four years and you come back to all sorts of new technology that makes prepping a bike for the track tricky (and frustrating!) :-[ :-/

I'm glad you found the problem. I installed a bank angle sensor upside down one time!
As to water in the fuel, the engine will almost always backfire through the intake when it tries to burn the water. If there is a ton of water,it won't run at all.
