Super Dave

I will be racing two classes at AHRMA's Vintage Road Races at Daytona International Speedway on March 1 & 2.

I will be racing a Team Hansen Honda CB450 Twin in 500 Premier.  I raced one of the bikes in 2002.

I'll be wearing #28 again on that bike.

And I will race a Kawasaki H1, the feared three cylinder two stroke, for Jeff Moyer.  Jeff will race the bike in Formula 500 where it should be competitive in, and I will try it in Formula Vintage, an open class.  I will be wearing Jeff's number #629 during that race.  When I race the Kawasaki, I will  be wearing my Vanson Leathers Troy Lee Design suit that I am shown racing in during the 2000 season in the Vanson catalog.

Hope to see some of you there!

You're a lucky man.  I don't know which is a better machine.  I don't understand why Honda stopped using torsion valve springs like on the CB450?  You could rev them until the points floated...  I never had an H2 but had an S2, the kawi 350 triple 2 stroke.  It seemed there were a lot of them around with burnt middle cylinders.  Maybe Suzuki could have shown them how to do oil injection  ;D

I'll be there.  I hope my old number brings you great fortune.

H1's and 2's had oil injection to the bearings.

I don't think this CB has torsion springs anymore.  These are the real deals.  http://teamhansenhonda.com/

And points aren't bad.  The CR750 I rode at Daytona, and some other races, made more HP than my GSXR600 or R6 with points.

Sean, you had 629?

Yeah, and if we can get the things to make enough anti squat.

The H1 is in an H2 Chassis.  Longer shocks and it has fork tubes that are longer.  Might have to bring the front end up to get enough trail out of it for good feel...but I've got to ride it to do it.
