I talked to Rick Breuer from learning curves tonight and I found that the Topeka schedule is:

Friday: Sport rider day
Saturday: Open practice and license school
Sunday: Race day

This seems to fall in line with the posted CCS sport rider schedule as well.  I guess I'll drive over there Thursday night to get some track time on friday.

Got the leathers on the way, tire warmers ready for pick up, gloves, boots, back protector, bike, and a partridge in a pear tree.  8)

Time to snow blow the driveway now  :P

Can't wait myself either!! ;)   Hopefully I'll be bringing 2 bikes.  One good thing about the snow, I don't mind stayin' later at work for OT. :P

Now my question is what do CCS licensed racers have to pay for each of those practice days? And also how much track time are we going to be scheduled to recieve on each of those days?

Since it's a 9 hour drive for me it requires me to take a day off work both before and after an event at Topeka. If I am only going to be getting a couple 15 minute practice sessions on Saturday, then I would mabey take another day off work and do the practice on Friday too. But how much track time would I get on Friday? Paying for an extra nights hotel stay and losing 10 more hours of wages from work would hardly be worth it if I only get a couple short practice sessions on Friday.

Does anyone know for sure what the schedule/prices will be?

I have no clue about the practice day.

Crud, I have a 9 hour drive as well.  I think I will take Thursday, Friday, and Monday off as well.  Thats going to be hard on my vacation...

I have been there when it was 35* in the morning at the start of practice, but by race time it was at least in the mid 50's to mid 60's. I was there 3 years in a row for that opening HP event in the mid/late 90's and that was the worst I remember the weather ever being.

Where as I have have crashed in 4 inches of snow at BHF during the 1st event there back in '97.

Super Dave

Topeka '94.  Ice on the track for Saturday.

Blackhawk 2000.  My school on Thursday... sunny and about 62.  Friday, rain, then snow.  Six inches by SAT morning.  Raced that after noon.
