Look in a grainger catalog or contact a small engine parts supplier to find a muffler for the engine.  Typically those engines are made by Honda or Tecumseh and a better muffler will make a huge difference.  Just make sure you get the right muffler for your engine manufacturer and size.

the three sided box works we tried to put a top and you could barly hear it but it got to hot and did not want to keep running.put carpet pad in the face of the box (the inside )and you will notice a big diferance
