QuoteOne word - Suomy!
Yes!  Heather and Stumpy have repetedly watched me crash-test my Suomy helmets, so I don't see why there would even be a question! :o :-/
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Chris, how many did you go through this year?

Can you beat 4?  Any takers?

What did I teach you guys....Suomy helmets off the ground!  Three years...I have three helmets.  Only one has some slide marks on it.

I've done four in a year, but it's been a few years.  I only whacked two this year.  The all-time worst was buying a Duhamil rep on clearence and destroying it in 2 1/2 laps...  At that point, my parts guy suggested that I start buying them in 6-packs. >:( :-[

Walmart sells teflon or plastic feet to put on furniture to keep it from scuffing up the floor.  You could attach a bunch of these on your helmet providing abrasion resistance.  Since the new texture of your helmet will greatly resemble a golf ball, you could argue it would give you better aerodynamics too.
If your sitting there considering this idea, you've fallen tooo many times and your helmet's not the only thing that's been damaged  ;D
