I see WERA has some dates at Beaver Run.  I have done track days on this track.  It seems a little narrow in spots with lots of Armco.  What do you all think and do you think CCS will race there in 2004?

WERA tend to have smaller grids (From what I seen anyway) so they may be ok. I hate to see we stuff 45-50 AM's on that lil track. Only a couple of good places to pass, other places will cause errr some damage. The track is pretty narrow. The first half of the track is slower, but harder to pass, the second half is better for passing, but very high speed, and if you run off in the kink you are going toward a wall, and I see a lot of passing attempts in the 2 kinks.

Turn 1 is real narrow and sharp, and I don't see 3 wide through there. It depends on where we put the start/finish, but I think turn 1 at beaver is more hairy than Daytona.

I don't feel too comfortable about racing there, but I did mark the WERA dates on my calendar, and maybe I will make 1. I still think it is too narrow though...

FWIW I have been there 4 times, seen really open track and seen a dense track. But track day is track day, racing is a bit more intense.

Could it be possible to run a combination of some of the north and south courses?  The north track is only 1.6 miles.

I didn't think the south course is built yet. We could run a super moto though  8)

even if it is built, they do not share any pavement at all, so the two track would have to be connected like at VIR's full track. Basically using both tracks at the same time. The same problems that we see on the north course will still be there.

according to the map on their website there appears that there will be a connection.  1.6miles just doesnt seem enough.

but the south course is NOT built yet. I think the land may be cleared, but I don't think they are paving anytime soon. I could be wrong
