Whats winter? I live in So cal!  ;D

Track days, and play time for the mechanic a bit! For about two weeks, and then start building the bikes for next season.

I think the first race is in Jan that we can do, so its a short break either way.

I can't afford to pay attention, let alone sustain any hobbies. ;)  Got a few projects at work that will keep me in overtime for most of the winter and have taken to 30-minute stairclimbing sessions for cardio and to try and work off the weight gain.
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

And you thought announcers had it easy!  In the off season I have about 10 moto-x races to announce, 4 or 5 mountain bike races to ride, training for that, trying to get some local TV for the motorcycle scene here in Phoenix, not to mention, make up for all the missed work time!  Oh. and let's not forget- try to get the PA/FM radio thing fixed up before Vegas!  Anyone know a good radio/ham/PA person?

Quote...4 or 5 mountain bike races to ride...

Cool, you're a MTBer too.  Is that the MBAA series?  I tried one of those races once at Estrella (I think it was called the Hedgehog Hustle).  I came up over the last climb and saw the PIR track in the distance and said "Screw this pedaling crap, I should be out on the track roadracing."   ;)  The only other MTB race I did was 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo.  Once was enough, thank you.  Though now I'm tempted to try downhill racing.

Good luck this season!

Estrella is this weekend and I am opting  out since it is not a State series race.  Estrella is the worst patch of trail I have ever ridden and will only ride it for points if I have too!  I am thinking of getting Tom (our referee @ CCS) and another former roadracer to join me for the Old Pueblo this year.  We'll see.

Cstem, what are you looking for with the PA/FM thing? A transmitter, or what?

Yall do a lot of stuff during the winter!!! Since I can't race, I go to work. After that I go home, drink beer, watch football (no racin' on TV :-[) On Sundays, I take the YZ out in the backyard and thrash on it (flat track, good for corner entry) then I drink more beer. Then I call my friends and they drink on the other end of the line so it's kinda like a party! :o

Hey Nate, I have a transmitter (Rmasey FM-100) and it only reaches about 200 yds.  I either need tyhe antennae properly matched or this thing bumped up with some more power.  You know someone with this kinda knowledge? Perhaps you? Let me know and feel free to email.

Does anyone know what the fastest accerating wheeled vechicle is??

A 1/24 scale slot car called Group7 or open car which is a goes extremely fast, and is the fastest accelerating wheeled vehicle known to man, attaining 0-70MPH accelerations in about 500 milliseconds.

Theres a couple tracks in the area. If anyone is interested let me know.
