QuoteHey Greg,
My answer is no.. dont do the school dont do practice .. just stay home your fast enough! Daytona is a fairly easy track to learnI'm sure youll have no problem. Never done the school so cant say, if any thing do it for the track time. Daytona is a hoot! See you @ Homestead!! Good luck!!

Ok, I'm with Mr Swarts on this one...

Daytona is an "easy track", but it has a certain momentum to it.

Daytona International Speedway is an expnesive place.  $175 is well worth the money for someone to learn something.

I've been there many, many times, and when ever I go to Daytona, I take ADVANTAGE of the Hammer practice time.

Disorganized?  Might be a little, but as long as you've been to a race track before, you should be able to get out on the track and do what you need to do.

I have never made it to Daytona and it looks like this year isn't my year either... :'( But any track time on a new track is invaluable. I would get as much time on the track as possable no matter what the cost. I would rather be comfortable (and safe) for my races and have some knowlage of the track, rather than having a pucker factor of 10+...!  :o

thanks all... if nothing else im taking advantage of the time for $175.. in the grand scheme of things whats another $100 to be able to ask questions. I told them over the phone though i would not pay that amount of money to follow someone for 2 laps with no instruction, at least 15-20 minutes 1 on 1 is reasonable i would think...

Hey remember the TC? it is 200 miles of open time get a teammate and run that for extra race speed time, just remember it is a race not practice, and people are running for money and national championships.
