Looking for a machine shop that can do VERY short run stuff. (100-200 pcs)

Anyone have any suggestions? I need one that one frown upon such a short order, as there will be several. Probably 10 different designs for a total of 1500 pcs.

Try calling some shops. Machine shops have tended to be slow for the last year or slow and may not be as picky as in the past. I do laser cutting for a small spinning/fab shop. For us a small order is 1 part. When I worked at Buell we had people machine parts for us in the Milwaukee area (sorry can't recall any names), we ordered things like triple clamps and steering stems in numbers like 10 or 20 at a time, I don't recall it being a big problem. Not all shops would consider 100 parts a very small order.
I have had T&D (Butler) and Utecht (Menomonee Falls) machine one off parts for fixturing for me.

Hey Nate! What kind of short runs are you talking about? I can do CNC vertical stuff, but don't have a CNC lathe yet. I assume you're making sliders, and need a lathe. I have a guy that works real cheap if you don't rush him. He'll need a print and I usually supply him with the material. Let me know and I'll broker it for you or you can call him direct.

Another option is:

J & C Machine

Paul has taken one of a kind requests to him and he does a good job (both metal and teflon).

Thanx for the leads, All! I have a ton to go off of. :-)    Oldguy, I sent you an e-mail about the specifics. I may need someone timely, but I may be flexible depending on costs, and just how much time I need to give him.

Yes, sliders. Plastic parts only though. I'll keep handling the aluminum. I'd like my business to support me financially for school, living, and racing next year, but to do that will mean I can't make all of my sliders myself.

I'll be collecting quotes from places, and going with the best price AND if they're willing to do multiple orders and more stuff like this.

Mark Styles?  Bliss Machine?  I don't know if he can help you Nate, but he's usually pitted 100 feet down the road from you at every Blackhawk...
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Good Point. I wasn't really aware that he did or was associated with any machine shop. Anyone got contact info for mark? or Meghan? E-mail? Phone?

Mark's business, Bliss Machine is a swiss screw machine shop. He has no CNC mills or lathes (at least non that I saw). He is not really set up to do something like frame sliders.
