No trophy presentation at Mid Atlantic either. I don't even remember there was one at Daytona for the CCS classes.

I still don't know who my competitors are in the pits. I know their bikes and their leathers... but thats it

It would be nice to annouce the winners and give a small presentation. I would personally wait around for it if I won anything. If not, u can still pick up your things and leave. It makes it all the more fun and rewarding. Especially on Saturdays. Most people stay around, and a little entertainment is always nice

Not that I will break the top 5 on a normal weekend right now, but I like the idea of presentations. If someone wants to grab thier wood and go, let em. Long drives after a long day of racing is tough. I find that we are usually packing up near the end of the day, and would still be present while presentations are going on.
I also agree that our sponsors "deserve" the recognition for the support they give us. That is why they give us support right?

I think a presentation at the end of the day would be nice also. We used to do presenations back in 80's when i ran but have not seen it since I started back racing (last year).

Each region is different in this respect, some regions nearly all the riders come from 4-11 hours away and would just as soon get their stuff and go. We are not opposed to the trophy presentation, but with purse checks being given out at the track and paperwork needing to be filled out on these awards, I can foresee a large amount of confusion and mayhem for the riders and staff members dealing with this.

Another logistical problem to work out is top five in each of the 41 classes get awards, that is 205 plaques. Then add in 205 thirty-second acceptance speeches (worst case) and you have another hour and a half added to your day.

That wireless microphone and post race interview is looking pretty good to me.

Let us know what you think on the poll I have created in the Rules Section.
