really sorry to hear that, it really hurts to read about these kind of things. Why were you reading the obits anyway

Best way to see what jobs are opening.

Actually they are on the 2nd page of the local section where the police reports are. His pic was on the top and kinda drew my attention.

Stumpy and I are home playing in the garage with bikes.  I think we are going out tonight to drink a little beer and pick up Michigan chicks for Benji ;D.  Whooo hooooo!

I just got back to Rockford Illinois from Heartland Park, sure was a scorcher down there! When I left at 4:45pm Saturday my trucks outside temp guage said it was 100* outside! I have always had that thing read within a degree or so of what others temp guages say so I believe it was correct.

Though the track is quite bumpy, it's better than it use to be now that alot of the wide sealer strips have been removed. I look forward to the new owners repaving it, as they have said their going to do. Hopefully if we have an event there next year it will be earlier (or later) in the season when it's not so darn hot!

I still like the layout of this track.  ;D

Do it by yourself...

You're all such whimps for traveling... ;D

Got back into the neighborhood around noonish.  Big traffic south of Rockford.  Ordered an extra rear wheel too.

The weather was pretty reasonable...sorry, Mike.  There was no real humidity, but it was pretty warm.  As an Omaha native, I expect summer to feel like the weather we had at MAM on that Saturday...about 100 with about the same amount of humidity.

Oh, and the winters in that area a just as bad.  The cold is humid too, so snows are really heavy, if not just ice, and the wet cold goes through anything you wear...unlike these nice crisp winters up here in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

I think the weekend went pretty well for me.  Two wins. Had some issues with overheating on my bike in the FUSA race.  29 laps was a long time for Sportbike.  I had a group together with Arclight's Dave Stanton, but the bike went up over 239 and the red light started flashing, so I had to get out of the draft I was working and start short shifting.  The start was really hairy;  we were all over the place.  I was on top of the inside curbing in corner two.  Superbike was a smaller field.  I was just inside the top five off the start, but I blew the entry going into the next to the last corner and had to work my way back from there.
