Folks,

Someone just told me that they heard that the CCS Middleweight classes may change their displacement limits down to 600cc's next year. Any truth to that?

Thanks,

Scott

Be the first I head of it.  It would eliminate the current ZX6R (636cc) from that class.

I wonder if that was the same guy who said CCS would allow 1000 cc in line 4 cylinder motorcycles into HW Superbike?  ;D

But they are...

Air cooled...

Like a KZ1000. 8)

But I think the KZ1000 would be more competitive in middleweight Superbike than heavyweight, which it is also legal for.  It would also be legal for Thunderbike with very open modifications, now that could be interesting, a built KZ, mega power with a horrible chassis racing against SVs.  My father-in-law has an old KZ1000 sitting in the shed, don't think I haven't been tempted... ;)

What's with all this horrible chassis things?

This bike was older, but I can turn quick times.  Faster than my friends fastest time on a GSXR750 at Daytona last October.  Old chassis, spoke wheels, etc.

The stock chassis geometry was the problem...and too much power.  Old KZ1000's were putting out around 150 HP with bias ply tires mounted on smaller rims than what an SV has.  Correct the geometry and they aren't bad.  It's just a motorcycle.

Now go get the bike.... 8)
