DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 17, 2026) – American Flat Track, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, unveiled a new Perpetual Trophy honoring the AMA Grand National Championship during the opening rounds of the 2026 Progressive American Flat Track season at Daytona International Speedway, celebrating the champions who have defined the sport since the championship's inception in 1954.

Crafted by Official Trophy Provider Jostens, the Perpetual Trophy features the engraved names of every Grand National Champion in the history of the sport. Beginning with the inaugural champion in 1954, the trophy stands as a lasting tribute to the riders who have shaped the legacy of American Flat Track while connecting past champions with the current generation competing for the sport's most prestigious title. The trophy's distinctive design pays homage to one of flat track racing's most iconic symbols, the steel shoe. Worn by riders as they slide through corners at speed, the steel shoe represents the unique skill, bravery and style that define flat track competition. The design reflects that tradition while creating a centerpiece that will continue to grow as future champions are added to the trophy.

The Perpetual Trophy joins the lineup of awards produced by Jostens as part of its partnership as the Official Trophy Provider of Progressive American Flat Track.

The 2026 Progressive American Flat Track season opened with the Royal Enfield Short Track at DAYTONA I & II, launching the new championship campaign during Daytona Bike Week.

Next up, the series heads to Georgia for the Yamaha Atlanta Short Track at Senoia Raceway on March 21. To get tickets, visit https://www.tixr.com/groups/americanflattrack/events/2026-atlanta-short-track-165280.
