I was just looking over the results from Gingerman and realized that they show the riders competition number, where as the class points and overall points don't list our competition number. I often times have wanted to see where a particular racer was in the points, but only knew their plate number and not their name and would then have to hunt thru the results to find their name so I could go back to the overall points to find their position. It's so much faster to scan down the list of competition numbers than it is to read every name. I think this would also be handy for someone who saw a racer at the track during a race and only knew their competition number, they could very easily find them in the points list and then see what there name is and who their sponsers are. It looks like it would be a 1 time thing to add the competition numbers to the lists and wouldn't be an ongoing burden to Tiffiney after the initial addition of them.

Just thought it would be a nice thing to add to the much improved CCS website. What do you think of this idea?

most of us end up racing in more than 1 regions, so there could be duplicate #'s. but other than that, it wouldn't be hard to add the comp # to the points. I always thought it may be nice, but you can always search for the person's name in the results, then look at points. Probably would be more accurate as well.

Yep, like he said. Just go to edit, find, and enter the #. then, you can get the name.

I have only had minimal computer experience and was un-aware of this capability. I tried it and that is alot faster, thanks for that hint.

r6 philly made a good point about the duplicate #'s showing up in some results, maybe they could put the initials of your home region next to your competition # to seperate the different riders. For example mine would be - 58 GP - to represent my home region being in the Great Plains region (which still confuses me as to how I am Great Plains and not Midwest region? I live in Rockford, Illinois - close to BHF).

This would only be a 1 time thing though, once it was on the board it wouldn't have to be messed with anymore.

;D LOL  ;D Ok, I see your point, if you do take into account the past experience with the CCS website it defenitely wouldn't be a good idea, but I was trying to be optimistic.  ;D

Mike:

If you hit the keys 'ctrl' and 'f' at the same time, it will bring up the find box and then you can search that way.  This feature works on any web page, word document, or excel document.

funny...I thought ctrl "f" would make a bad word pop up on the screen. 8)
