QuoteDavison was announced as the driver of the No. 77 car for Sunday's race at Talladega earlier in the week and his name appeared on the NASCAR entry list. It was a perplexing entry, to say the least. While Davison has raced in multiple Indianapolis 500s and races in IMSA, NASCAR's sports car racing sister, he's never raced on an oval in NASCAR.

The first time I was on the track at Moroso, was in the rain, on the way to grid for my first race there.   Practice was cut short and I never got on the track before my race.

So I tend to agree with Nascar on this decision.

Its more of that they don't want a new driver showing up their regulars. Betting theres a driver who whined about it that nascar has been kissing his ass for a while did this only to appease him. Really doesn't matter anymore, nascar is dying right along with the other stick and ball sports getting 'woke'.

Theres been plenty of drivers from other series that started their 1st nascrap race on a superspeedway. I remember when nascar teams used to come to us in SCCA & IMSA to drive their cars on a road course since their regular drivers only knew how to turn left.

Nascar drivers CAN turn right.
They will be on the road course at Daytona.   This says 3.56 mile road course.  Is the road course for 4-wheelers the same as for bikes?  (Same chicane location, etc ?)

I can not find any mention of tent camping for this event.  I only see RV 'camping.'

Most the current crop of nascar can do road courses now. Back when I was in SCCA and IMSA they couldnt other than a handful.

The course they will be using is pretty much the same as the bikes other than at the International Horseshoe. Bikes use the 1st loop, cars will use the last loop.
