Is anyone from the Midwest going?  I'm hoping to get my R6 down there once MD racing is finished with it.  Looking for transport down there and a florida racer to help with receipt and storage after Dec. race to March.

I think finances will preclude racing this year plus I won't have to store the bike from Dec. through midFeb.  Will try to drive down mid Feb, fly back and return for March.  Drive back to Chicago after.

Well the uship shipper wigged out on me.  Drove up here, opened up his trailer and had two bikes flipped over.  Left in disgust...
Is anyone from Chicago or passing thru chicago on their way to Homestead with room for my R6.  PM asap.

Accommodation there is a problem - full and pricey.  I'll be camping @ the track.  No biggie since I camp down to 20F before Nov. enduro races in S. Paris, Ind. (nr Goshen).

cool.  Look for a small green tent.  I'll be wearing a large floppy hat and driving a subcompact rental (probably sub-compact).

Well Homestead was great.  Pitted with Melka, Kopec and the Duc. Depot Bros.  Great weather - could have been a tad warmer but bike ran flawlessly which I needed after the explosive failure on the back straight of BHF in July.  Didn't fall, finished all races, wasn't last and had a blast.

Now onto Roebling Rds and Daytona.

where did you end up camping? last year on friday night the back gate for the entrance road was open and a gate for the field in the front was open and I just pulled my truck right in. This time all the gates were closed. We ended up finding one gate at one of the fields open and pulled inside and camped friday night. Saturday night stayed outside the track entrance and camped.

well it was quite the performance to say the least.  On friday the guard was ok with RV and campers camping on the property outside the track.  He would not let me pitch my tent...wtf.  I pitched it down some lane SE of the track and came back around 11pm to receive my R6.  The new guard asked me where I was camping so i told him the story.  He immediately talked to his supervisor and they soon ordered me back on the property to camp near their guardhouse.  The thought was that I was camping near alligators, large cats and snakes.  I talked to Henry DeGow next day and he was livid.  I had no more issues Sat. night.  They opened the gate if you called them the gate.  My R6 was dropped off near the tunnel.
