Daytona is easy... myth?

Another tricky part is that your terminal speed in the braking area is heavily influenced by the draft, winds, and the exit drive on to the banking. There were times when I braked half a breath after the 1 marker into T1 and had room to spare, and other times I barely made the corner. (The paved runoff is nice.) The chicane I was a little more cautious, but I did over run it once or twice through the weekend.

I agree that the wide track makes it more exciting. There are more lines that can work and passing is a little easier.

I really am amazed at what these bikes and tires can do over those bumps- really shows you how good suspension is these days.

Daytona is not easy. Just like any other track setup and experience is important. But HP is more important at Daytona then any other track we race at.
