I've designed an online system to view race results for the Mid-West, Great Lakes, and Great Plains regions. Take a look:

See you at Blackhawk this weekend.

Looks great Jack!  Good job!  How are you getting the race results into the DB?  Are you entering the data from the web, or do you have to wait until you get home to do it?

Can CCS supply you with any kind of data file from their computer with the results?

The data currently being served is from the CCS Web site. I spoke to Kevin today and he can supply me with files a short time after each race (a day or two). We'll see how that works, but since I attend most of the races and get the results in paper form each weekend, worst case I can enter the data from paper. Unfortunately that's the same time I'm weeding through a thousand or two pics from the weekend. I might get a good friend and a fellow racer (he's probabaly listening ::)) to help out.

But, I think the format and the features are good--I know if I was racing I'd dig it. :) Too bad I can't get wood at track days.  :P ;D

Well, if they can supply you with some sort of file that can be easily read, maybe something can be written to just read that file and update the database.

The results page on the website is as easy to read as anything. All you need is the filename, suck down the page, parse it and stick it in the database. Not very hard, just would take a few hours to write the code once and you are done.

That's how it works now. So when I get the file, I can update the stats or if the file is not available, I can do it off the paper results. Ofcourse it's not quite that easy, and took me more than a few hours, but oh well. ::)

Sounds like you should be able to handle it for the other regions bfkidd.

Jack, how do you find time in your life for anything else? Wow!!
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Hey Kim! Soon you'll have your own stats! :)

Congrats on your first race weekend!!!

Jack, That is awsome! You might not get wood, but I'll make sure to by plenty of photos from you. Thank you for all the hard work.
