you write your grid positions on tape, stick to your tank. If you don't do this.. do it. Next to the ss race grid position, write "TECH".

For anyone reading this, it's important to get to the correct grid position quickly. Having to wait, and have everyone else on the grid sit there while an official guides you to the correct position is frustrating to say the least. Put your grid positions on tape, stick to the tank. Saves everyone a lot of trouble.

taking it further, don't put around on the warm up lap. Especially if you see riders a few turns ahead of you on track. There is nothing worse than someone getting on track right at the end of the 5-board time, only to see them go slow around the track.

Karl, I'm just giving you a hard time. I get your point, however, I agree with Melk-Man on this one. The whole situation was pretty funny though. Potato Head worthy, maybe not, but we can still get a good laugh out of it. You might be best off making a sign and asking one of the ccs officials near track exit to hold it up for a case of beer. That's more likely to happen than a rule change.

Melk-Man, Sorry for this being off topic of this thread, but I wanted to get back to you on our SV tire conversation from last week. My opinion was that Pirelli was a superior tire for the sv over the other brands. (I said that having ran all of them other than the new R-10 Bridgestone) I proved that again last weekend by resetting the LW track record while on Pirelli's. After mounting up a set of Bridgestones like I said I would, I'm sticking to my original opinion for now. To be fair the Bridgestone's are not far off. Throw contingency on top it makes for an appealing option.  Bridgestone truly makes a good tire. (I tried the DOT R-10 soft front and rear) Considering my bike is setup to work with Pirelli's the R-10's worked very well. Am I sold yet, no, but I'm going to give them another shot and see what they're capable of once my bike is set-up to run the R-10's.  I was still a few tenths off my lap times while on the Bridgestone's vs. the Pirelli's. Although, the Bridgestone's did not cause me to lose any positions and there is something to be said about that. Good conversation last week. It got me to step outside the box and try something new.

You should see my tank. Literally has a piece of duct tape on it with all my grid positions marked. and TECH in big bold letters next to each supersport race. Doesnt help. lol

But fineeeeeeeee. I'm offering a six pack of beer per day to anyone that is willing to hold a tech sign for me at pit out during the supersport races  . First person who comes to me at the track gets the job for the day.

No previous sign holding experience required. Beer drinking ability paramount.

Not to speak for my wife, but she might just be the right person to get on board with that proposal. She's going to be at the track drinking anyways, so why not hold up a sign at the same time.

Payment after services rendered (beer after sign holding duties completed) will increase likelihood of job getting done :) .. just sayin.

Carl, I'll put "TECH" on the back of my leathers so when you lap me on the white flag you'll know to go.

:lmao: Lmao that would be awesome! Then people would think your nickname is "TECH". And when you get Moto GP super fast everyone will be calling you TECH and have no idea why.

However for this plan to work, you would have to catch up to me again on the cool down lap and get in front of me again so I can see it. I will easily forget again if I only see it with one lap to go.  :lmao:
