Can the officials also hold up a sign to remind me to check my gas before the race? Oh and also to buckle my helmet before I put my gloves on I keep forgetting. Thanks.

That would be awesome!!! I know someone who has already ran out of gas in two races this year because they forgot to put gas in. One of these races they were winning. I'll give you one guess on who that rider is

I think Carl is the front runner for the Mr. Potato Head award!:-P
Well how could there be two number 1's? It'd be number 11 then?

seriously ? you ran out of gas .. twice ?? I rest my earlier case   :thumb: (just pokin fun)

But on the entire of the officials being in a tent, or whatever.. get over it. YOU, THE RIDER, need to be the one that remembers to go to tech. They have enough to do on the day. They do much more than a "small favor" just putting these races on for us. Suck it up Buttercup, and pay YOUR BUDDIES the beers or hookers, to be on pit row to remind you of what to do.

congrats on winning on b-stones. Now don't toot your own horn TOO loudly, i see there were only 4 riders in the 2 events ya won.. will you even get ANY tire contingency in those races ??  8) Still, it's a win and winning is cool. So congrats are due. But I assure you, your lap times would be faster on michelin cup tires, and you likely would place higher in those races ya finished much further back.. And when DanO is back from Laguan, and Ricardo V. is back in action ;) Your gonna need a better tire to run with those guys. As your pace picks up, and i'm sure it will, you will be looking for better rubber.

EDIT: b-stone payout:
needed to have 5 riders to pay out for just 1st place, 8 riders to pay out to 2nd, 10 riders to pay out to 3rd-4th-5th..

I dont have any buddies that can come to the track with me and all my buddies at the track are usually too busy running their own program to remind me. So I'm going to say it now, without the sign or tech in hot pit I will forget to tech after SS at least one more time this year lol. Ill suck it up, but I just wanted to voice my opinion for a potential change. Just throwin it out there in hopes CCS might be extra nice. I know they do alot for us already and appreciate it very much.

on a side note... Wanna hold a tech sign for me at daytona?? Ill buy you beer and hookers    :thumb:

And hey the third event I "won" (but got DQd) had enough people to pay out contingency from bstone. Thats $400 i lost out on just from tire money. and yes I know Dano and Ricky were out of action this round,  but I got into the high 11's at blackhawk this last time out, which is dang close to their low 11's pace from the last round. Mark my words, I'll get into the 10s on bstones this year (along with forgetting to tech again haha.) hopefully the fast guys wont get any faster till then lol

And not to mention any names, but I know of a few fast riders in the midwest switching to bridgestones now. Seeing me get all my tires paid for from contingency might be a factor. And I think these riders switching may be intially slower on them but once they get used to them they will be able to turn fast times. guess we'll see. Now enough of my plug for Bstone and back onto complaining about my forgetfullness

keep at it.. the winning (when possible) and the complaining :) Someone may do ya a favor at tech, who knows.
Can't help ya at Daytona in Oct. though, sorry. I will be in any race you are in, likely in front of ya, on Michelins .. LOL.
Seriously though, good job though Carl, and cool of ya keeping a light tone about all this. best of luck.

Nice job on the lap times! You were looking good through 4-5 on Sat. Wish I'd been able to get on the bike myself though!

Carl, Carl, Carl....... What are we going to do with you. No Michelle and DanO to hold your hand this weekend and you start slipping up! :-)  Keep it up and Michelle will be looking for a new Poolboy!

As far as Tech on Hot Pit......  Not a good idea. You know the layout at Blackhawk and how we try to keep the program rolling with the next race coming out as soon as we get the last bike in from the previous race. Doing Tech on Hot Pit would make that unsafe.

As far as the Tech sign on Sunday.... Thank Jay in Tech for getting artistic with some electrical tape and I was the one holding it up at Pit In.  And yes, I do like a Spotted Cow occasionally

Seems as though the loss of points in a disqualification would be a sufficiant reminder.
Maybe if large $ fines were added it would be a better reminder.

Its not my fault I swear! Im a first year expert. I need guidence  . I blame everybody else except me. :ass:

But on a serious note, good point about tech on hot pit at Blackhawk. I did not think about that from a safety point of view. You are absolutely right.

Both you and Jay have some spotted cow coming your way, I owe you guys huge!  :thumb:  I seriously wouldve forget to tech again on Sunday until I saw that sign. Can't thank you enough!!!
