Bill Fehrman, our Mid-West Race Director, died today in the hospital .. about an hour ago.  He was 68.  We have been told that injuries sustained in an accident several weeks ago resulted in complications that he could not overcome.

We haven't been told of the arrangements yet, but knew everybody would like to know as soon as possible.

Such a shock!

Rest in Peace, Bill - and God Speed!

UPDATE:  The funeral service for Bill Fehrman will be Monday, August 20th. Visitation from 9:30-11:30 am with service to follow at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E College Ave, Appleton WI.

Godspeed, my friend.
This in itself, makes me glad I made a 2000 mile round trip for the July 1st BHF round, as I was able to share some laughs with Bill. A good guy, who will be missed.

I have been a member of the CCS family for little bit over a year but Bill made me feel welcomed and knew not only knew my name but also the proper pronunciation.  Trust me, that was not unnoticed.

Bill you will be missed.

Rest in Piece, I hope you are having fun over there with Joey, Marco, Shoya, Daijiro and the gang.

Thank You for everything you will be missed!

May he rest in peace, and I pray that he his legacy and soul go on for eternity.  To me, Bill was like a Dad to all of us.  Motorcycle Racing is inherently dangerous, Bill gave his all to try and make it as safe as possible.  Bill was one of us, he lived life to the fullest.  When I heard this news, I was almost hoping this coming Blackhawk was going to be cancelled, but you know what that's not what Bill would've wanted.  I hope we can all come together and celebrate Bill Fehrman's great life.

Rest in Peace Bill Fehrman.
Well how could there be two number 1's? It'd be number 11 then?

Godspeed Bill. And thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. I'm glad I had the chance to talk to him briefly during the Friday test before the ASRA/CCS weekend at Blackhawk. Big loss for the roadracing and motorcycle community.
