Sooooo, what class does MY fzr fit into?

roadracer162

FZR fits into the Premier Class. Although maybe not in the state of tune it is currently built for.

Didn't think so. I built it for the loophole in the thunderbike class.

Florida Vintage Series, Fourth Round
December 2 in Homestead-Miami Speedway

At the top of the Winner's Podium is Paul Tenn. second is Arthur Kowitz, and third Mark Tenn. This is how it happened.

On this temperate day in December finds the fourth and final round of the Florida Vintage Series riders getting ready for battle on the track. Homestead is a 2.25 miles in length and favors the rider/bike combination with lots of horsepower. Up to this point the championship has had three winners and essentially a three way tie with a fourth rider as in Brian Tenn right there to pick up the pieces if he can score a win. The three previous winners are Mark Tenn from the first round, Paul Tenn from the second round, and Josh Paladenni from the third round.

On the grid is Arthur Kowitz on a Kawasaki KZ1000, Michael Perry aboard his Yamaha 350, Sakis Vasilopoulis aboard the Yamaha 125, Brian Tenn aboard a Suzuki GS1000, Paul Tenn aboard a Yamaha FZR600, Bob Picinich aboard his Yamaha RZ350, Josh Paladenni aboard a Yamaha FZR400, and Mark Tenn aboard his Yamaha FZR400.

As our checkered flag girl Jennifer throws the green flag it is the big bikes that jump to the lead. despite me having a good start it is the three bikes of Paul Tenn, Arthur Kowitz, and Brian Tenn that make it to Turn 1. By turn 2 it's Mark Tenn on the FZR400 throwing to the inside of the big Kawasaki and Suzuki closing onto the tail of Paul Tenn aboard the FZR600. For the first two to three laps it is the FZR600 and the FZR400 mixing it up making multiple passes on each lap. The FZR600 would pull a good lead on the straight utilizing it's strengths and then the FZR400 would pull it back on the brakes.

Right behind is the KZ1000, GS1000, and FZR400 of Josh mixing it up. But by the third lap Josh is pushing too hard and crashes in turn 4. With everyone running their best times for the weekend it is Arthur Kowitz that is making the most progress as He and Paul that lower their times and gain the One, Two. By the last lap the Big Kawasaki with Arthur aboard make up time on the FZR400 and make a brave pass into turn 8, but only to run wide. A quick blast down the back straight and Arthur gains the second spot and retains it for the remainder of the race.

So there you have it, Riders from all walks of life, of all ages, and motorcycles of a very differing backgrounds and concepts. Come join us for what promises to be and exciting 2013 season.
