Chris Kuhn aka SkiandClimb needs our support.

Chris raced in Midwest Super Twins events on an older Ducati - #730 - until this past season when his wife gave birth to their 4th child.

Chris is one of the good guys who just happens to be a cop in suburban St. Louis.  On Dec 13th Chris was notified by the Chief of Police that he was fired for an error on a report.

Following is a copy of an email I sent to a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch who loves to dig into these kind of things......

Bill,

We met a number of years ago when your son was on the Tennis team at Clayton High School.  I'm one of those non-memorable faces in the crowd who doesn't stand out for much of anything.  At the time I was working for the City of Clayton, responsible for the Tennis Cent...
er and Ice Rink in Shaw Park.  I'd be lying if I thought you might remember me.

I know you get these letters everyday, some ridiculous wrong, that needs to be corrected.

Well, here's another one....

Chris Kuhn is a friend of mine and is a cop in Crestwood.  On Tuesday, December 13th, Chris was fired by the Chief of Police in Crestwood.  All I know so far is that he made an error in completing a report.  No theft or misappropriation of services, no violation of Civil Rights or Child Abuse.  An error in completing a report.

Rumors of a vendetta from the Police Chief are circulating.  Of course, due to this being a personnel issue, the City of Crestwood won't talk.

Chris is a good guy.  He's been a cop for 10 years.  Married, four little girls aged 5 and under. Mom stays home and takes care of them.  He and his wife, Grace had their photo in STLToday in April of 2010 as they attended a support gathering for Chris's former partner,  Matt Crosby, the Rock Hill cop who was ambushed checking out a domestic disturbance that left him paralyzed.

On top of all this, Chris is in Law School at SLU.  4.0 GPA last semester. Trying to better himself for his family and stay connected with the law without putting himself in position to be another Matt Crosby.

Now, 12 days before Christmas, he is fired.  He has an attorney.  Hopefully this won't have to go that far.  Something about this doesn't feel right.

You can reach Chris or Grace at 314-XXX-XXXX.

Thanks for being there when people don't know where else to turn!
