Confusing...
Based on a comment on the TPM racing forum, someone said CCS confirmed that the F40 class does not earn double points for 2x point weekends. I recalculated our points by reviewing the Am LWF40 results for each weekend.

Am 209 had in order: 2nd (30), 5th (21), 5th (21), 4th (23) = 95 points
Am 175 had in order: DNR (0), 2nd (30), 1st (35), 2nd (30) = 95 points

A tie!!!

Per the rulebook the tie is broken by the most 1st place finishes. So 175 would break the tie with a first place. However, CCS says 175 has 125 points to 118 for #209. I don't know how they came up with that.

I believe this is an error. It seems to me that they have counted the last weekend as double points but not the first. That scenario makes their math work. But what is correct??? Does F40 class get double points on those weekends or not??? If they do get doubles then A209 should have 148 not 118 and A175 should have 125 (missed the first double point race).

I have a feeling none of the points in the Am LWF40 NJMP class is correct. Any ideas?

Thanks

The performance index is not taken into account for CLASS championships, only for the OVERALL championship.

all classes get double points when it is a double points weekend. They have been known to make mistakes with the points. send an email to ccs. Also note it is double points for atlantic region only, not sure if that applies to track championship or not

no need for 2x points on F40 as that class does not count toward the overall championship.. so doing double points for that class would not accomplish anything. :)
