How about open up the Ultralight class? Ultralight SS, Ultralight GP, Ultralight SB and race the ame time as the lightweight ranks? Will that bring out the SV guys? It seemed as though there were many SV riders mixing it up at Homestead this past weekend, and one very fast(Ramirez) doing awfully well.

I like the idea. Might get a couple Fizzers and 500 out on the grid as well. Ramirez would do well even if we strapped a hundred pounds of lead to his bike.

The rulebook can be found on the CCS/ASRA site.

Now, my question; If the exclusion for 125GP bikes is removed for Ultralight Superbike as the mailer conveyed, does that allow the 250GP bike into Ultralight? There is no exclusion for the 250gp bike and it does read two-stroke water-cooled up to 375.

Me thinks a revision is in order.

i just saw the results from Homestead.  Someone showed up with a TZ250 and won ULWSB and LW40.  Ha ha what a joke!  CCS is screwing the royal pooch on that call.  Goodbye CCS, Hello WERA.......

Well, the fact is that noone protested. I know there was once that my 748 was entered in Ultralight(just a typo) but i raced the 800 and won. I was protested but when I informed them I used the 800 it was alll good. I just sorry you didn't get the satisfaction that you wanted from CCS bcause for me it would have been good to race against you.

TZ250 in LW 40? I don't care for it but I like that the CCS rules are different than WERA. I know it also matches the bikes that are currently running in that class. Now if only I can get enough guys/racers to buy into opening up and participating in the Ultralight classes. I do know of a few FZR400 and a couple EX riders that would compete.

I'll be at VIR and possibly CMP.  Going to run LWSS, ULWSB, LWGP, LWSB.  I'm going to concentrate with the other group most of the year.

if you look in the rulebook it says  superbike---- production streetbike  bike,   grandprix---not production can race
unless there is sometihing i dont see. watercooled2 stroke up to 375cc can be a RZ 350 with a bigger bore.

it says yammie 250  unless he has a jacked up TZR250, i'm assuming it's a TZ  they are allowed for 2011

apriliaman

TZ's are allowed in the other LW races but not ULTRALIGHT.

I have the note on the subject. The TZ250 is not legal for Ultralight anything. It is legal for the lightweight stuff
