So....I did decent this year with only a small amount of races and all top 10 finishes. i put in alot of work and put out alot of sponsorship packages. I have a great friend and sponsor at Lithium, and recently received a sponsorship contract with RK sport. It was probably the same contract many of you got, but i was excited. I recieved orders from the army to send me over seas and decided that someone else somewhere could use my sponsorship contracts instead of me screwing someone out of the same opportunity i worked hard for. I called RK and told him to give my contract to someone else since i could not race in 2011. He was dumbfounded and explained how shady the majority of the motorcycling community was when it come to things like paying their bill or trying to pull stuff over on them. No wonder it is so damn hard to get sponsored. He old me to keep my contract, use the benefits if i need them, and call him back next year. Well i recieved 5 more contracts by email this morning and spent all day calling them and explaining the situation. they all said the same thing RK did and all but 1 told me to keep my contract and use the benefits. If you cant appreciate what you recieve no matter how big or small then you dont deserve it. You just make things harder for people who actually deserve it. it really doesnt matter if your a podium finisher every race or not. Appreciate what you have because its a privilage to recieve support not a right.
