can anyone tell me how different or similar race bodywork is between 06 gsx-r 600 and the 09 600? are the mounting points silimar? is there a major difference in fit?

Should fit without any problem. Frame and enginecase is totally same.
BUT i dont know the CCS rules alowed to use different body than the original.

You can run 09 bodywork on the 06-07 but you'll need the 09 ram air tubes and the 09 subframe. As far as the rules go I do not know whats legal or not just answering your question.

I don't believe there are any rules regarding using the same bodywork as your bike model.  That's why a lot of people use GSXR plastics on their SV's.

Got the bodywork to fit, 09 ram air tubes don't fit as expected, can't find my old ones , is it possible to run the bike without them? or should I just snag a set ?

GSXR RACER MIKE

I would be concerned that without them you wouldn't get the intended ram air effect from a properly pressurized air box.
