I have an 03 SV650S that I am turning into the naked model for my teenage daughter - it's her first street bike.  I am looking for take-offs to finish the bike.  I need:

  • stock headlight, round - would love the mounts that go on the forks too
  • stock SV650S wiring harness for the front lights only; the one I have is staying with the front end that was removed

If you have any parts, let me know.  I know most folks that race or do track days (i'm a track day gal) take most of this stuff off and stick it in the rear of the garage.  Eventually, this bike will also be our track day bike, too, once she gets a tiny bit of road experience.

Parts don't need to be perfect as our bike already has a salvage title - it's no garage queen!

dont know if this would help but i took my cbr 600 f3 street fighter and used a 35 dollar set of 55w fog lights. bright as hell. looked light a triumph speed triple. i used hose clamps to hold them to the forks between the upper and lower portions of the triple clamp. painted the hose clamps black and IMO it looked great. i used the wiring diagram and spliced the wires into the low beam wire.

I was thinking of going that route, but I think i'm going to stick with stock stuff for now, just in case we decide to sell the bike.  I honestly don't think that will ever happen, but i've said that before about other bikes i've had. :(

But if my search turns into a dud, I might have to go that route.

Check out www.svrider.com - lots of oem bits on the board over there right now, I've got a couple boxes myself but they are all 1st gen parts

I honestly think a first gen headlight will work for what i'm doing - a single round headlight 7" wide is the ticket!
