For not running me over! I'm the guy that crashed halfway to turn 1. "thanks!" about says it. No major harm to me or the bike.

If the person I made contact with is on here, please post up your point of view. Glad you didn't go down as well.

My point of view - I made an OK start for me, only a couple people came past from the second row, and I started pulling people back once I got into second. One of them was on my right, so I started moving left a bit. suddenly I felt/heard saw a bike CLOSE on my left. Next thing I knew I was spinning down the track, trying to think small and thinking "pleasedonthitme pleasedonthitme pleasedonthitme!"  I came to a stop and sat still until I didn't hear any more bikes, then took a peak down track. Nobody coming, so I got the bike over to the guard rail and hopped over. I probably could have continued, but really didn't think of it for some reason. My thumb started swelling up pretty quick, so I don't know if it would have been a good idea. Ah well, classic racing incident, I think.

Now there's a big "Thumbs Up"!!  :)

So very glad that things ended well.

And again, huge thanks from both LVO and me for the use of your clip-on... happy to return the favor if need be.
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

Brush it off Dan.

Eh, nothing much to brush off. It was one of those "shit happens" moments. Minimal damage to me and the bike. Heck of an experience though, with half a middleweight grid going past me as I slid around!

I was in the tower and witnessed the crash. You moved left into a faster moving bike, clipped your handle bar and down you went. Really no ones fault, just what can happen at the start of a race.
