Rossi clearly views Spies as a threat.

Dam those Hondas are fast. Nicky almost had that podium.

That last run to the line was the best drive Nicky had that I had seen, usually Dovi was a bike ahead in the other laps.

I wanted Nicky to get that podium spot so bad!  But at least he's finally coming to grips with the bike no one but Casey seems to be able to ride.

And how about my boy Ben Spies?  Quietly keeping the pace of the leaders for the entire race ... he'll be World Champion next year, after a season of going to school on the master himself.

Looks like MotoGP is going to be better than  WSBK this year, when was the last time we could say that?
