Any experience with Volvo S40?

I work at a subaru / volvo dealer in central WI as a mechanic, and my personal opinion is a volvo is the biggest pile of shit car ever made. If you have a extra 1000 a month to throw away per month for aslong as you own the car then a volvo is for  you lol. its probaly a good thing im not in sales, we have volvos come in with less then 500 miles with electrical problems and less then 10k with worn front end parts ( tie-rods ball joints etc). seriously save you're money and buy a geo metro you will be happier.

Hey Rick, I've also researched these extensively as we like wagons and the options are limited (V40 - same car). Short story, we'll never buy one of these; far too many reliability issues, and the driving dynamics reportedly suck to boot. No firsthand personal familiarity, but there is so much negative feedback regarding the model series that I wouldn't even consider it.
