This past Friday, my Sargeant's daughter was involved in a serious, head-on, motor vehicle accident and was air lifted to a local hospital with serious head trauma.  Sarge was working that night, and although not in our venue, the reports came out over the radio.  Please says prayers for Kathryn (Katie) as she is in a coma right now, and the outlook is unknown.

Any and all prayers are so very welcome and appreciated.

In Christ,

Thanks guys. I saw Sarge today for a minute. He had pictures of the car....good grief. I couldnt tell what it was...a car, or a truck or a van. It was that bad. Katie is still in a coma.  Crushed pelvis, femur, brain injuries.  Still, he was trying to smile and was thanking everyone for their prayers.  Keep em coming.  They both need them.

An update of sorts:

Apparently the Doctors took her off the ventilator as a test to see if she would breathe on her own or not.  Unfortunately, she was unable to do so.  She promptly went back on the machine.

Please keep sending out prayers to God....especially for the familly, as I feel they are about to face a horrible decision.

Thanks for the update. I was just thinking of asking you for one but thought it might be too early.

I'm an old goat who has been able to do and see alot of things so if something should happen i have no regrets. but it's a shame to see young people have such heartships. our prayers go with them.  i do believe that they need to give her time to heal. to me the doctors are quick to pull the plug. 3 yrs ago my mother had a heart attack and during recovery they punctured her artery and she bleed out  after several transfusions she was revived but in a coma for a week. she survived with a long physical and mental recovery. but she's alive and 95% recovered. and she was 72 at the time.  i think they only saved her because they knew the screwed up. i also know that someone has to be a advocate for the injured. or nothing gets done. squeaky wheel gets the grease.
