If this is in the wrong forum, mods please relocate.

Otherwise I just wanted to let everyone know that Turn One Racing will be having a Suspension Seminar on Saturday, Jan. 30th at 3pm at Durty Nellies in Palatine, IL (before the NESBA Bash)

You don't have to ride with Nesba to come to the seminar, or to the bash, there are always plenty of CCS folks at the party, and since Turn One Racing is the official Bridgestone race tire vendor for Blackhawk, Road America, and Gateway, I thought I would post this here as well.

Durty Nellies is kind enough to let us use their space before the Bash starts to host a seminar for anyone who would like to attend.

The Seminar will start at 3pm, and the Bash starts at 4:30.

Topics will include, but are not limited to:

Fundamental Principals of Suspension
How the adjustments work and why
Sag Setting and its importance
Interpreting what the bike is trying to tell you
Communicating what you're feeling to a suspension tuner
Aftermarket components front, rear, and why they work better than stock

There will of course be plenty of Q and A.

Depending on the time available and the people who show up, we may add a Body Position portion to the seminar, as body position fundamentals are more important to suspension than you might think.

I always wondered why they call it the "Nesba Bash"  And why there are always so many CCS and STT folks there ... it's all starting to make sense now!

Seriously though, it's open to all motorcycle peeps, we usually get a healthy dose of all Chicagoland area riders and racers, and Nellies is a good spot for it.  Just be careful driving afterwards if you're planning on lubricating your livers.

•Force Damping
•Rider Feedback

How the adjustments work and why
•Compression
•Rebound
•Preload

Sag setting and its importance
•Rider Sag
•Bike Sag
•Total Sag

Interpreting what the bike is trying to tell you

Communicating what's happening to a tuner
•What you're feeling

Should be a good time, at least for anyone who's idea of a good time is geeking out about motorcycle suspension theory and application.

See you there.
