With the new bodywork for the zx6r... does anyone know what is allowed for the front.  AMA has smaller numbers on one side but some tracks have scoring towers on each side of the track.

will 6" numbers on each side be allowed? (looks like that's all there is room for)

Thanks,
JKF

Looks like alot of the guys are running small numbers on both sides.  Not sure on legality though.

Missing my SV :-(

6" numbers are allowed.  There are enough of them on the front of bikes already.  There was also another thread that address this a few months ago.  I will try and find it.

I ran 6" #s.  I didn't have a problem but they did say, if the tower couldn't see my # I'd have to change to 8".

Here's a pic from jack.

I like to call that 100 mph tape ;D LOL
thanks again for the use of your racer's tape.
Jim's is coming home today sometime but has to go back next week for surgery.  That's the plan as of lastnight but who knows it's like the weather, it changes all of the time.

I will be at the Gateway in June and the two track days at Gateway (April 19 and May 18 ) before then

QuoteI like to call that 100 mph tape

Thanks for the update on Jim - and let us know how his surgery & recovery goes.

I wonder why they didnt let RC51's do that when they came out? There was a guy at BHF with a RC51 that had to put 8" numbers ABOVE the duct to pass tech. Had to tape over the windscreen to do it.

Hey Dano, for RA you're gonna need to put the numbers on the left side. ;D Towers on riders left there. ;D ;D
