Look closer, lots of places to pass at gateway. And if your an expert, pick a class and ill be there to race you.

I agree- there are tons of places to make a pass at GIR. I like the tight configuration- very technical and fun.  Much of the "it's a dangerous track" rhetoric stems from races held there years ago, where little to no Airfence was used.  Our local club, MCRA, has changed that, and now there is more than adequate Airfences being used.  Of both CCS events held there last year, I honestly cannot remember one transport.  As the local hosts of CCS racing, we work very hard to put on a professional and safe weekend.  I truly hope that folks who haven't been there do not choose to go, due to the way it used to be- and give the track a chance. Yes, there are walls, as can be found as the majority of tracks in the US, but I assure you- we have worked hard at eliminating those as risks.

Another thing is that there is an ever-growing contingency of new racers popping out of the St. Louis area in recent years....miss out on GIR, and you will be handing points off to alot of guys/gals who are willing to travel to your local tracks!  :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:  ...I hope one of the GIR weekends gets double points status. LOL

Anyways, best wishes and good intentions to all- just wanted to +1 Probst and show some brevity to a decent track.

Cheers,
Chris

Glad to see RRR back. I know last year at Barber was low. My guy didn't sell many tires. It's still a fun track. It does cost two small fortunes to run a race there though.

Hmmm... Do I see a "Great Mid-West" 4 track, region in the works?
Seems none of the dates overlap for these tracks as of today.
MW had 4 tracks (not counting Mid-O) and GP had 3 tracks last year with 3 tracks of each region is included in the other region.

Could this be the "New" Great Mid-West region?;
