Holy crap.. THat is a FL region fast guy Andres Londono. Knew he crashed, but didn't know it was that wicked. Pretty sure it was mid race during one of the ASRA races.

They were in the garage next to us.
Londono said he landed on his tail bone very hard, hardly able to walk.
Craig, the engine builder and team owner and a few people put the thing back together, amazing to watch it turn from a heap to a race-able machine in about an hour.
Londono got on it and was battling for the lead in one of the in the Superbike races, on the final lap the hard impact caught up it with and he had to pull in while running 3rd. at the time.

He signed a piece of the front fender for me, it's in your pic #2! Now I know how the tire mark came to be on the inside.

They helped us with my stuff after I injured my arm and had it in a sling.

We were in the garage next to them as well and they were tearing into the bike immediately to get it ready for the next race.  When it was finished up, Londoni mentioned that he thought the front end may have been tweaked a bit.  Craig  said to ride it anyway and boy, did he! He led the first lap and was shudffled back a bit to third, where he ran most of the race.  On the white flag lap, they think the bike sucked a valve and the young man had to pull it off the track.  How heartbreaking can you get?  This kid is one hell of a rider!!! (and pretty durable too).

Hi Dave, still sore and in the sling, Dr. said tore cartilage from the bone, lucky if it heals without surgery.

We were out there with Craig and crew when he had to pull in, what a let down for them after that battle.

I sent you a PM, not sure if you got it.

why is it when i tried that i spent 2 weeks in the hospital  glad he's ok i think he crashed hard in the kink in the rain last year tor the triples off that time

RIGHT in front of me in the dogleg, was a couple years back. The bike was a mess then and no quick fix. Andres is flyin for sure though and doing some AMA stuff as well as ASRA races.

Can't be sure, but I think was Londono's 2nd. crash of the weekend, the other may have involved the other Yamaha they sold?
