Some of you guys remember Brian on here aka MightyDuc. This Sunday will be 6 years since his passing at Daytona and I still think of him all the time esp when I go to Daytona. Kinda think he was looking over me when I crashed almost 5 yrs ago resulting in my paralysis. Guess he wasn't ready for me to come and beat him on the race track up there!

Had some good laughs this morning when I searched thru some old threads on here got me thinking of some of our races. Heres a link on his passing

a real sad deal i never met him but was at the track that day. i don't remember his name on the daytona memorial maybe we can pitch in and make that happen.one thing i notice after rereading the post how many riders with a ton of replies that we don't here from anymore . i've only been on here since 07 and  remember a lot of them.

We spoke of Brian today at the speedway, I also think of Brian every day, and you Scuba Steve, I sat behind you at the awards banquet in Homestead at Gustavo's for the 04 awards, I said congrats to you but should have said more.
You guys were great fun to watch on the track.
I was getting to know Brian a little, he offered to show me his lines around the old Moroso track etc, I said don't slow yourself down for that, he was just a great and kind person.
After his passing I tried to just be by myself at the races, and not get to know anyone for a long time.

I realize now that was not the thing to do.
Now I'll try to make a point of saying hi to folks at the races, no matter what.
This weekend at Daytona was my first one back since 06, I said hi to many people and enjoyed meeting every one, all great people and great competitors.

Hold no grudges, forgive and forget quickly and move along.

Thanks.

Gustavos I remember that place. Brian, Mills and I had some great races for sure.

Glad to see you not sticking to yourself anymore. I still roll around the races meeting everyone. Alot are surprised I still enjoy being at the track after what happened to me but i'm glad to still be here and love being at the track

Steve it's strange that you posted this, I was rolling out to the Thunderbike grid on Sunday and I saw you on pit road and thought of you and Brian, Isidro, and alot of others who are not riding any more.

I remember where I was when his wife called me to tell me about the accident, I couldn't believe it. He was an enthusiastic guy and I still think of him all the time.

Anyway it's good to see you out at the track, I'm sure Brian is looking down on us all and hopefully having a laugh or two.

Gino

PS does anyone know how the BMW rider is doing who crashed in the Thunderbike race? I saw that thing stand on it's front wheel and it didin't look too good. Hope he is doing ok.
