I only know a little bit, but apparently Tom (Gonecrazy) went down pretty hard at Barber today. Karen put up on facebook that he went down, and so far she thinks he has a broken femur, pelvis and possibly internal bleeding.  Not sure of which hospital he is at right now.  I'll post more as I find out.  For now, I trust everyone will remember him in their prayers.  If anyone has more info, or corrections to this- please post up.

Hang in there Tom. We're praying for you.

Just spoke with jimmy , tom is stable and headed to surgery to repir broken femur and hip. He had a bad highside and was run over by another racer. I will post details as they come.

This is what I have heard from Amy

Saw Tom again he is completely sedated still. They did wake him for a moment ....that was bad! he is in sooo much pain! Come to find out he crushed one side of his pelvic bone, crushed his tailbone and broke the pelvic bone in half along with pulled ...ligamets...its worse than they thought....he will pull throgh he is strong willed and strong bodied and has amazing family and friends!

Strength my brother, you will make it.

Really no change today hes very tired but he is healing we wont know when he can come home until later this week they said and hopefully he will get into an actual room in a couple of days so i can stay with him. it is so hard to leave him! please keep your good thoughts and prayers coming.

That handsome man of mine is doing good he might get a room tomorrow! Hes getting back to his fisty self! Hopefully I will have news on when we he can come back home! Startin to get that alabama slang ya'll....lol everyones prayers and good thou...ghts have helped us so much while I've been here! I just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Hey all,

I've been in contact with Tom's wife, Karen.  We're also putting a fund raiser together (locally) for their family & the MCRA has created an Injury Recovery Fund for the family as well (http://www.mcraracing.com/TomShaw.htm)

Anyways, here's a splice of the email Karen sent me earlier...still don't know the specifics.

....we found out more about his injuries and they are worse than we thought! They just keep telling me more and more shit! I just asked for the trauma team to come talk to me and lay it all down on the line so we don't get blind sited again! Thanks you for all that you guys are doing! It looks like he will possibly be out for more than 6 months, it's looking more like a year. It looks like he might be in here for about a month now too.I don't know what we would do if it weren't for friends like you guys! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Please let everyone know how much we appreciate everything that is going on.

WFO Motorsports has something in the works also for Tom and possibly something bigger for all racers . We will keep everyone posted   Tom is a very important part of WFO Motorsports  ( Team WAFO Racing)  he has brought 2 championchips to us this year and we look forward to many more.
