Those sidecars were the coolest thing that I've ever seen.  Especially watching that vintage BMW lifting the side up while trying to make an inside pass in T6.

I say we try and get them back racing with us as much as possible.

To see them in person was really something else.  It's cool to see that each one is basically custom built.

You guys missed out if you weren't at summit.

I agree!!!  My first experience seeing them in person was a couple years ago at Summit when they first came.  I am a fairly seasoned corner worker, yet the entire time they were on the track I had absolute butterflies in my stomach! I was nervous as can be for those monkeys hanging out of the side cars, throwing themselves back and forth!  They offered rides that year and I was so terrified that I couldn't even THINK of doing it.  HOWEVER, this year when the opportunity arose, I figured it was something that I couldn't pass up! Watching them was a breath taking experience but actually RIDING in one was an experience I will NEVER forget! Someone got pics of me in there hanging on for dear life... I thought I was TOTALLY hanging out of the car leaning to come through turn 10... I wasn't LOL.  It was a great experience and the side car folks were extremely fun and helpful and willing to answer any and all questions about the sport they so greatly love!  Hope to see them again next year!!

I really like the Blue #1 with the R1 motor but they were all cool as hell.

My wife is hooked. She wants to be the "monkey" (person in the side car). We spoke to the 007 team. They said that the brighter yellow one had actually been in a few TT races. I hope the sport expands to the U.S.

The sidecars were indeed a treat!  I think they come with CCS every August (at least they have been for the past few years).

Guys,

We always have a blast racing with CCS, always enjoy the track at Summit, always find that the spectators and other riders are interested in what we manage to do with 3 wheels, and always enjoy taking passengers out for a ride on the Sunday.

The positive comments on this forum are great to hear as most of us are driving 10 - 15 hours to be there. This years troupe was made up of 4 rigs from Ontario - Canada, and 1 from NH, the other from Mass.

Mine was the yellow 007 F2 bike with the HUGE airbox. That engine had only been in for 1 week and had never been tested.
However after fixing a fuel starvation problem that raised it's head going around the Carousel (every time), having the guys at Gasoline Alley make some new higher handlebars, and getting used to the much higher riding position - that 08 R6 engine was blindingly fast.

I know that we would all like to race more with CCS - can any of you guys recommend a track a little closer to Ontario?
To add to the CCS list of course - we wouldn't drop Summit Point as we enjoy racing it so much.

Among our teams we have Father & Daughter and Husband & Wife teams. We also have one of Canada's best Superbike racers (Frank Trombino) racing an F1 sidecar with us.
Up until this year we had 2 girls that were very quick racing with us called Chicks on Slicks.
And we ALWAYS have a good laugh at the track.

Our website is www.sidecarracers.com if you would like more info.

Our last race this year is at Shannonville - Ontario Sept 26/27

We would love to see you if you fancy the long drive and might even take a few of you out as passengers.

Thanks a lot.

I got to see the sidecar races at the AMA races a few years ago. It was pretty amazing for sure. They should come to Blackhawk Farms for a weekend.
