I'm still a squid, won't be after this weekend. But I was wondering the physical size of the transponder so I can drill some holes in my tail for the zipties to hold the unit down.

hold off on drilling untill after you buy the transponder holder....that way everything is lined up good

Yes, Do wait. There are 2 different holders. Bracket and Pouch.

Brackets have gone away, actually CCS is just not carrying them anymore due to the misuse. The pouchs are more felxible in mounting properly.

Just how does one misuse a transponder bracket? And then how does a pouch remidy the abuse?

I better keep my transponder bracket safe, no orange pouch for me!

Just so you're not worried Jason, it's not this kind of a pouch........

I like the pouch - the orange matches our bikes. :) Besides, doesn't the pouch prevent the transponder from popping out in the event of a crash?

I think it's from people inserting the transponder in the wrong direction or mounting the bracket backwards (so the open end points towards the back of the bike). The transponder can come loose.

I guess I'll have to safeguard my bracket because I'm not a fan of the pouch either.

It's the fact of the transponder inards being broken by an overtight ziptie accross the top.
