NJMP has an official track photographer. Shared a lunch table with the guy.

Unfortunately, I don't think they show or sell their photos. :-(

Ok.. As with all things.. Some good news.. some bad.. I (like the rest of us) was learning the track at NJMP (I'd shot Thunderbolt, but not Lightning before) and as with all things.. There is a learning curve.  Not all the races are (IMO) up to my usual standards.

Saturday morning sure was foggy.. looking at the paddock shots you'd think I was using some weird filter or something for a lot of those shots.. Oh well.. The important part is..

I've posted the first 8 from Saturday so far (still sorting and creating webpages for the rest) and will be putting those up as I am finished with them.
Interesting place to try and shoot as there is VERY limited access for 'Us' to get around the track.  Sunday I even got called out by one of the corner workers..  Just as the race went green. (that hasn't happened in an long time) and scrambled to get to an 'acceptable' place.  Just wish he'd said something when I was shooting the previous race from that point, so I would have known to move earlier..

As for the ones I screwed up, well.. it was a settings thing...  As you know, what works in one place does not work in another.. I feel horrible about it, but when you get to those races, just know that next time.. I'm gonna be ready for that area and promise to do MUCH better..

Now, please feel free to check out the website http://www.UnderTheBlackHat.net

And as always, anything you need or want, just click on the 'email me' button at the bottom of the page and I'll do what I can to help!
Ok, so I'm faster with my camera then you are with your bike..

Black Cowboy Hats - Keep the sun off my neck.

Hi all - really sorry I missed the weekend but I was off to Europe to do some riding of my own...  Deal's Gap ~ Tail of the Dragon has nothing on the twisties of Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany :)

I did shoot the NYSBC track day on Thursday, pics are going up today, so if you came a day early to practice, I might have a few of you.  I second Pete's comments about the weather and learning the good shooting angles at the track...

See y'all next time!
