While I don't disagree with anything skidmark has written, having raced cbr600rr's for a while, I've found that the throttle on the 600rr has a longer throw than most other bikes (my OEM Ducati is almost the same as the yoyo QT on my 600rr with the middle sized cam), and I find it significatly more comfortable with a QT throttle and not having to re-grip constantly (one less thing to think/worry about).  So IMHO, on the 600RR, it's a helpful "comfort" mod that I would recommend as it allows you to concrentate more on what you should be concretating on and not thinking about re-griping.

Doctor

HRC has one, with cables, that makes it a 1/5th turn. Runs around 100 bucks. The Yamaha tubes typically do not fit the RR series though, so that will most likely not work. (At least I know it will not fit the 1000RR)

One of those conforts that will allow you to go faster with less effort, kinda like a quick-shifter does. I did a little check of my OEM throttle and it seems that the R1(1/5), Ducati 800 (1/5) and the 02 GSXR not quite 1/5th.

What is the CBR?
