Speaking of checking to see if folks are okay, I think he was Am #308 (busy day in 1, so I'm not sure of that number).  He crashed on the straight and came to a rest in the grass between the 2 and 3 markers.  He got up and rode back in the crash truck, but he was mighty confused and I was never able to find him in the pits to see if he was okay.

Yeah that was me. Are you the CW that picked me up there?

Sorry I was a little unresponsive at first, I could hear what you were saying but I couldn't form words right away. I was trying to figure out how I ended up walking in the grass next to T1 when I was just riding a bike a few seconds ago...

I'm doing fine. My wrist is a bit messed up and I'm still waiting for my orthopedist to get back to me about having xrays done, but besides that I'm in good spirits and the EMTs said no concussion. I appreciate you getting me out of there and taking care of us. Thanks!

Yeah, you weren't taking your nap in a very good spot.  I'm just glad you're okay!  I do have to say that the sight of your pilotless bike coming sliding into my corner and taking out another racer is forever burned into my memory.  The other guy was a bit confused as to why there were two bikes and only him in my gravel.  Glad to hear all is well and see you out there next time around!

Oh no! I had no idea that I took him out, I thought it was two completely separate incidents! I'm so so sorry.

No, seriously, he was very cool about it.  It was one of those freakish things.  He thought he was going into the turn all by himself and then...  He was just glad you were up and about.  I got to him first and he asked where the other rider was.  Well, that bike must have come from somewhere.  I'm just so glad you rolled that far onto the grass.  I'm still confused as to how you ended up on the left of your bike's crash path, but hey, I'll take it.

Bad place to go out at. Looks like your pulling on that throttle hand. practice putting your head on the side of the wind screen your going, it seems to help me maintain that push/ pull deal. Glad your okay.

Ya once I get the bike back together and running I will be working on getting my head over more and keeping that bike a little more upright.  Glad everyone else is ok.

I can't even remember what race that was.  When you're in a high traffic corner, all of it just kind of blends together.  I had a slew of motos, 2 crashes out in 2, 2 crashes at the exit of 1, the ghost rider crash (the one I'm talking about), Jason Zelibor, my repeat mechanical, the contact crash, and 3 other crashes deep in the gravel.  Oh, and the spectacular spectacle, lest I forget.  And in all of this, there was not even one first lap crash.  So,  no, I haven't a clue as to what the bike was.  The guy was so confused I was wondering if he was an English speaker.

ghost rider crash  damn emily u gotta call me out like that

Yeah, I was the one hit by the heat seaking riderless CBR. When I stood up I was trying to piece the puzzle. Without another rider in the area at the time, I was a bit confused. What a random event. Thats what we sign up for haha. Well, its good to hear your alright 308. Thanks to Ducatiista and all the cornerworkers for the help. All in all the week was over shadowed by good fun. Take care and hope to be there in August.
